Rhea Sylvia Fine Arts Photographic Print Silk Wrap

$390.00

Elegant, versatile and distinctive, this large, rectangular silk wrap looks great as a headscarf, hood, shawl, sarong, skirt or overskirt, and more.

THE STORY
The twin turbine blades in Rhea Sylvia reminded my editor and teacher of the two teats of the she-wolf who suckled Romulus and Remus in Roman mythology. Her name was Rhea Sylvia. This image was not captured on a high hillside. However, the background of the shot does extend across the Columbia River.

Rhea Sylvia does not have a logo on the scarf itself.

MATERIAL OPTIONS
12 MM CREPE DE CHINE: slightly heavier and translucent with beautiful drape, depth, and subtle shine. Great year round.

COLORS
Andesite Monochrome: A graduated palette of blacks, grays, and whites.

SIZES
Standard (approx. 41" x 60") or Long (approx. 41" x 70").

NOTE: Long wraps gives women with broader ribs and/or fuller bust lines (36/38 and up) the option of tying their wrap as a sarong--or anyone more tying options.

CRAFTMANSHIP
All DBD silk scarves and wraps are individually artisan printed on a photographic printer and hand-hemmed in the USA. Creatively conceived and executed in the mists of Western Oregon and produced in the California wildfire zone, they bear not only beauty and versatility but also a message of regeneration. Each piece is individually produced and small variations in color are normal.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Hand wash or spot clean only, using gentle soap, shampoo, or hand soap (we like SDH Fine Fabric Wash). Iron or steam as desired. Please do not rub fibers when wet because they (like humans) can be vulnerable in this state.

AVAILABILITY AND SHIPPING

This item is currently on pre-order, with a delivery of a few pieces scheduled for the second week of May. After that, out-of-stock/pre-order items can be expected between 2.5-4 weeks, depending on the details, and earlier if possible. That does occasionally happen.

Each scarf comes in a black photographic proof box to protect it from dust and light. The box also contains a small, printed paper replica of the piece with Deborah's signature, date, and edition number on the back.
